Michael Lofton is just about the most charitable Catholic UA-camr I have come across. He does everything he can to see the things that the Pope says and does in a positive light. When everyone is being judgemental and calling the Pope names he thinks things through. And now he's a victim of the same judgemental ignorant people that he defends the Pope from. Excellent! 😂

It seems odd that so many people will express their disagreement with people like Lofton, Cdl. Fernandez, the Holy Father Pope Francis, etc. but then never actually engage the substance of what any of them say. So many deflect to spurious or abusive interpretations of their statements, if they interact with them at all, and in Cdl. Zen’s case, he doesn’t even grapple with any of Lofton’s arguments. Instead, this so-called “living saint” who accuses the Magisterium of teaching heresy, resorts to personal attacks, which amounts to no more than petty name-calling, as you yourself admit. Quite troubling. If you disagree with Lofton’s analysis on the hermeneutic of continuity, then you would think you or Cdl. Zen would actually address why or cite how authentic Papal teachings have less authority than ecumenical councils or how Benedict XVI’s hermeneutical framework somehow doesn’t apply to them and only to Ecumenical councils. This is essential for assessing any “value” judgment on these. You confess that you don’t watch Lofton’s arguments because you “don’t care for them,” which is strange, because it appears to express an immaturity or inability to engage substantive argument. This would also seem to explain the obstinate rejection of interpreting Fiducia Supplicans for what it actually teaches instead of the poor caricature you present it as, despite repeated evidence in the document and clarifications toward the contrary. One thing about Lofton is that he has little patience for people that he thinks ought to know better. Maybe he should be more patient, maybe not. But this impatience is not to be confused with arrogance, which I see so many people accuse him of. An accusation that works more to deflect from the arguments being made; to deflect from what is true. Should he have more patience for people who obstinately refuse correction if and when he is right? Because if Lofton is right, forget impatience and arrogance. I care about the truth. Not feelings. Are Lofton’s arguments correct or are they not. All of this, “Lofton made me feel bad,” “Lofton is a meanie,” “I don’t like what Lofton said” is irrelevant. If Lofton’s arguments are right, then you have an obligation to correct your position. It is sad to see so many alleged “traditionalists” succumb to the same rhetorical methods that I see communists and modernists employ to deflect from the facts of the matter at hand. Lofton made an argument. Built a strong theological case for his position, with substantial citations. But you’d rather talk about how Cdl. Zen dissed his beard, like it’s WWE. This is childish and I hope you reflect on it.

There is nobody more capable to give Michael Lofton a dressing-down than Cardinal Zen!

Why are you so worried about criticizing Michael Lofton? You said you never agree with him on anything. Show a little backbone man, like Cardinal Zen. Defend the faith. Has the Infallibility of the Pope in matters of doctrine been formally ended? It used to be vital in converting . Is Bergoglio the Pope? What does the Magisterium say about this?

Lofton swinging from protestantism to orthodoxy to Catholicism in a matter of years is a red flag to me, a cradle Catholic. He is overzealous and under-acculturated to Catholicism. That tattoos are a red flag for me as well. Very pagan. He also is sure to position his academic degrees prominently in the background of his feed. He even used to have "doctor candidate" or something like that on his by-line. Screams insecurity.

Our new young priest told us not listen to podcasts but only come to the parish priests for information. All I could think was wow!

Michael Loften supports everything Pope Francis does. Catholic content creators need to bring clarity, Mr Lofton does not do that. He would do well to listen to Cardinal Zen.

Love this! Nothing wrong with how Cardinal Zen spoke. First of all, he’s a Cardinal and has suffered persecution and has some right to knock a layman into his place under these circumstances. . Also, he’s Chinese and the Chinese manner of speaking can sound very blunt to western ears. It’s just their style.

Michael Lofton helped me have a lot more confidence in God and his church because now I know that the pope didn't actually ever teach heresy or worship a pagan idol.

Lofton also has had pro-Islam gentleman on his program in order to promote ecumenism. That was the last episode of his that I watched and participated in commenting on. I'm well read on Islam and the guy he had on was from some Notre Dame University Islam/Ecumenism center. He also was arrogant, poor at drawing conclusions from the source text, and a real Assisi Conference sort of guy. Anthony is too decent of a guy to bad mouth Lofton, but Lofton is a Modernist.

They recently were collecting for Peter’s Pence also. They can’t be trusted with donations.

Mr, Stine, as a fellow TLM follower, your comments about not judging someone's motivations is one of the typical things that annoy me about my fellow TLM. Actions and comments can give clear indication of one's motivations. I am also an attorney, and we use comments, actions or non actions to indicate the mindset (mens rea - guilty mind) of the defendant. We are in a Holy war, and we need to understand our opponents/enemies and their motivations. Lofton false or misleading comments make it very clear that he does not have good motivations.

I find Michael Lofton tiresome. Period.

Cardinal Zen is a living example of how one must endure oppression. This Michael Lofton is the prime example of how confusion and heresy are spread through the Novus Ordo. More than strong opinions, the church should hold righteous, holy, true positions with courageous, sacrificial leadership.

Any defender of FS, which, in paragraph 25 mocks Catholic doctrine and condemns its application, doesn't have any real knowledge of or respect for real Catholicism. Lofton is a fraud, and a man who has given his life to aiding and abetting the crimes against humanity of this pontificate.

(think Donatists). We're not Protestants. For a Catholic, saints are those already enjoying the beatific vision. Cardinal Zen's putdowns and disparaging comments towards Mr. Lofton will likely be a stumbling block in his canonization process. The fact that Lofton may be perceived at times as somewhat on the smug side doesn't justify a Christian for replying in this manner. I've watched enough of Michael Lofton that I see how someone could get annoyed by his ways, but I've never caught him being so glaringly uncharitable as to mock their very appearance. On the contrary, I've heard him several times encouraging his viewers to pray for those who criticize and attack him. It gets even worse. Card. Zen, for whom I've had the deepest admiration (even bordering the same premature veneration some are eager to show), goes too far. So far that it makes me doubt (and hope my doubts well founded) that these are truly the saintly cardinal's own words and not someone who's hacked his blog account. It fills me with amazement that people like Steve Ray or Patrick Madrid (of whom both I'm a huge fan too) support him in what I clearly see as a blatant attempt to CANCEL Michael Lofton, positively encouraging people to boycott his probably most important source of income. This is a sad, sad spectacle that our sweet Lord does not deserve.

Thank you SO MUCH for covering this! I have been telling people for a long while that Lofton is not someone to be listened to. I like my company with Cdl. Zen. I wrote this comment only shortly into your video. I shall now continue into this glory.

The old adage "charity begins in the home" bears truth. When you destroy the home and the family unit, the alternative is to depend on government for your sustenance which is the worse possible scenario. Wake up Francis!

This priest has a large following of confused Catholics.

For our part we have not given one red cent to the Novus Ordo Synodal church in nearly ten years. My offering whether that's of Time, Talent or Treasure has gone to only Traditional Catholic Communities especially the SSPX. 🙏➕
